Every Halloween, DreamForge takes a walk on the dark side with Dark Visions, a chilling collection of eerie tales perfect for the season. This year, we add one more unsettling story to our haunted archive: Body Count by Angelique Fawn. Alongside it, you’ll find a selection of vampires, werewolves, zombies, ghosts, and other horrors from past issues—each tale lurking in the shadows of DreamForge online, all free to read.
Each October
Sure, DreamForge usually shines a light on hope, on communities coming together, on people solving problems to make the world a better place. But once a year, as the nights grow longer, things take a darker turn. Even editor Scot Noel sets aside his usual optimism and unearths some of his older stories where maybe —just maybe— things don’t work out. Maybe the monster isn’t vanquished. Maybe the hero doesn’t win. Maybe, this time, the shadows swallow the light.
