David Weber is an accomplished science fiction author best known for his Honor Harrington series. His novels range from epic fantasy (Oath of Swords, The War God’s Own) to breath-taking space opera (Path of the Fury, The Armageddon Inheritance) to military SF with in-depth characterization.
