Lucy Stone
Lucy Stone is a freelance writer, lexicographer, and mother of one. Her work has appeared in Electric Spec, BFS Horizons, Unfading Daydream, Every Day Fiction, Flash Fiction Magazine, Tigershark, and Between These Shores. She has also completed a lavish, meandering Harry Potter fanfic entitled Sympathetic Magic.
Her major preoccupations are folklore, romance, and mental illness. Her stories contain many villains, but the ultimate one is usually despair, and she will fight it with every word she writes – even prepositions.
She studied at Oxford, with which she has a love-hate relationship, and now works on a dictionary, which has a love-hate relationship with her. She lives in Banbury with her partner and her three-year-old son, and writes stories in her head when she really ought to be doing other things.

Every dollar we receive through subscriptions, Patreon, Kickstarter, Kofi, and sales of our print and ebooks (through Amazon and our website) goes directly to supporting authors and artists. Our entire operation runs on volunteer efforts, ensuring that every contribution helps new and established authors from around the world tell their uplifting stories of hope.

Please consider supporting DreamForge Magazine.
DreamForge is a volunteer effort supported by Dreamers like you. Every small donation helps us to buy hopeful stories and help new authors learn how to bring hope into this crazy world.
Hope is not an illusion; it's a perspective backed by engagement with the world, whatever the condition of the world may be. Like the crew of the Enterprise, we don't expect everyone to share our values, only that we will engage them with ours, and in the course of doing so, possibly, just possibly, win a better future.
